Nokia To Launch Windows Rt Tablet –Report

Global mobile devices manufacturer , Nokia, is preparing to launch a 10.1-inch tablet based on Windows RT, according to reports, citing sources familiar with Nokia’s plans. Code-named ‘Sirius’, the tablet will have a similar design to Nokia’s Lumia Windows phones and will be launched shortly.F

Nokia’s tablet is thought to be thinner and lighter than the current iPad, with a colored body, 6-megapixel back camera and 2-megapixel front camera.

The 10.1-inch display will run at 1920×1080 resolution, and the tablet will feature Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM. Other features include a microSD port to extend the 32GB of storage , a micro HDMI connector and a micro USB port.

Nokia is also planning to ship a keyboard accessory with the tablet that includes a battery for additional charging .

The device will be priced comparatively with Apple’s iPad, and the company won’t try to undercut pricing initially, the report said.

Nokia is expected to unveil the tablet at a launch event in New York scheduled for 26 September
