Undersea Robots Comb 200-Year-Old Shipwreck for Buried Treasure

The wreck has likely laid undisturbed for 200 years. Crews have already salvaged pistols, muskets, cannons and some large platters and serving dishes.

This area of the Gulf of Mexico was the home of notorious French pirate Jean Lafitte — a smuggler who, along with his brother, maintained a pirate base on Galveston Island and spied for the Spanish during the Mexican War of Independence. There's no telling what these undersea robots might find.
