Facebook Launches New Android App

The social media giants, have launched an updated Facebook app on android platform today, thursday 1 August.

Bringing with it one of the most popular features of Facebook Home: Cover Feed, which gives Android users an advantage to the lock screen from Facebook Home without having to download and install the Android launcher.

Facebook Home’s Cover Feed shows photos and posts from friends on the lock screen of your phone. Android users can swipe through, post comments and like updates without launching the Facebook app or even unlocking your phone.

It also enable users to get the same look and feel as the Home counterpart including easy access to camera and messages.

Facebook has offered the option to use Cover Feed without the launcher as part of Facebook Home since launch. Thursday brings that same ability to those who just have the Facebook Android app installed.
